FAQ

  • How do I choose a Therapist that is best for Me?

We know the process of finding a therapist can be frustrating and time-consuming, but having a great rapport with your counselor is of utmost importance. We provide an online or a 15 minute consultation by phone if you would like to ask more questions about our practice and make sure it is a good fit for your needs.

  • Do you offer Telehealth?

We are equipped to be able to conduct HIPAA-compliant screen-based telehealth. It’s as easy as clicking on a link in your email.

  • How Long are Counseling sessions?

A standard individual session is between 45-55 minutes, although couples and family sessions usually last 60- 90 minutes.

  • Do you offer faith-based or Christian counseling?

We work with clients of diverse backgrounds and faith beliefs. If appropriate, many of our providers enjoy working with clients who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into counseling, however it is up to each individual client’s preference, and our therapists do not impose beliefs on any client.

  • How Do I get started, and what can I expect in a first session?

Once you schedule an initial appointment, you will be sent paperwork to fill out electronically through email before the appointment. During your first session, you will review this paperwork together and your therapist will answer any questions. You can expect to experience a nonjudgmental, caring, and safe setting in which to set your goals for counseling. At the end of the session, you will likely discuss treatment frequency and schedule your next appointment if desired.

  • Do you take Insurance?

We are in-network with BCBS of GA, Aetna, TriCare, Medicare and UHC. If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, we can provide you with a Superbill that you can present to your insurance company to apply towards your deductible or obtain reimbursement of what your plan would pay. Please feel free to ask your therapist about this and also check with your insurance company.
